Next-generation vehicle self-insurance SaaS platform, with predictive AI and camera and GPS monitoring.
Zarv offers a next-generation vehicle self-insurance SaaS platform that enables vehicle rental, insurance and lending companies to take control of their own insurance operations — tackling robbery, theft, assistance and fraud with proprietary technology.
The problem is big: in Brazil, 53 cars are stolen every hour and most are never recovered. In the second quarter of 2022 alone, the country's six largest insurers recorded R$ 3.7 billion in vehicle losses. Even with widespread GPS, processes remain inefficient — and that is the gap Zarv fills.
The technology monitors assets in real time with predictive AI, integrating cameras on public and private roads with GPS devices. Unlike partial solutions, it tracks operational and claims data in real time and automatically optimizes the workflow, reducing the need for traditional insurance.
Leading the business is João Costa, a Y Combinator alum and serial entrepreneur: a successful exit with Chaordic in 2015 and co-founder of Kovi, which became the largest rental startup for ride-hailing drivers in Latin America, valued at more than US$ 500 million in its Series B.
